What I do

UX Design

Essentially, UX applies to anything that can be experienced—be it a website, a coffee machine, or a visit to the supermarket. UX Design encompasses any and all interactions between a potential or active customer and a company. A UX designer thinks about how the experience makes the user feel, and how easy it is for the user to accomplish their desired tasks. The ultimate purpose of UX design is to create easy, efficient, relevant, and all-round pleasant experiences for the user.

UI Design

Unlike UX, user interface design is a strictly digital term. It is responsible for the transference of a product’s development, research, content and layout into an attractive, guiding and responsive experience for users. A UI designer will think about icons and buttons, typography and color schemes, spacing, imagery, and responsive design.

Web Design

Putting all the UI and UX into code and making it real is the job of a Web designer.

My Work

Who I am

UX/UI & Web Designer based in Düsseldorf, Germany

My name is Jasmin Talai and I am a UI/UX and Web Designer.

I always had a passion for art and colors. A while ago I decided to work with my passion and began to learn UI/UX and Web Design on my own. Before that I worked as a German teacher. To create motivation, I let my creativity run free and created exercises for my lessons in the form of small, simple apps on a web-based tool. I had to actively deal with the terms "User Experience" and "User Interface". And that's how I discovered my fascination for these topics. Time and life took me away from my interest, but due to the Corona crisis I decided to seriously follow my goal. I decided to take the course of my career into my own hands and started learning HTML, CSS3 and jQuery by myself. In order to specialize in UI and UX I learned Adobe Illustrator and XD.

Learning never ends for me. And as Mahatma Gandhi wisely said “Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever.”

Omnifood - Premium Food Delivery

UI/UX & Web Design

“Omnifood is a premium food delivery service with the mission to bring affordable and healthy meals to as many people as possible.”
Omnifood was my first experience with HTML, CSS and jQuery. It was a project during my HTML/CSS/jQuery online course. I really enjoyed learning about HTML, CSS and coding. Some parts were a little complicated but that was the beauty of it. I confronted my problems and searched about it and solved them on my own, so it was really learning by doing. I learned many things about typography and colors too. For example, the choice of the color orange as the accent color. It should draw attention without being as overpowering as red. Also it can be associated with friendliness, confidence, and courage and in a way win the trust of the customer
Of course most of the content will be text, so beautiful typography is a key element to a good looking website. The most important thing I learned was, that a website should be designed in a way that ensures that both the user and the owner of the website achieve their goals. This is the user experience.

Maynooth Furniture

Wireframe - Adobe XD

“Maynooth Furniture is a new business selling affordable high-end design furniture made in Ireland”
Maynooth Furniture was a class project during my Adobe XD online course.
Persona:
Katherine, 50, working as an executive in Dublin, Ireland with a salary of 110.000$ per year. She is style and price conscious and uses Pinterest to gather her design ideas. She has children at University. Now that she has the time and the resources, she is updating the furniture at her family home after the remodeling of the house.
The primary Idea was to build an e-commerce website for people to brows and purchase furniture for home delivery. In order to make the customers journey as simple as possible, I used simple self-explanatory icons and the furniture categories straight in the Navigation. The “New in Store” and the “Inspiration Ideas” sections will help the customer to get an idea for the newest products and styling ideas.
After landing on the living room page the customer will see the various categories of living room furniture. By clicking on the categories the products will apear on the same page after the categories. The products can be selected as favorites at any level and put into the basket on the product page.
